Applied online and got called a few days later to go in for an in person interview. Took the wonderlic test prior to the interview at Uhauls corporate office. I had a great interview. Me and the hiring manager talked for an hour. He told me he was going to wait two weeks before moving forward with anyone. I waited two weeks, and never heard back despite the two week timeline given. I followed up with the recruiter three times over the next several weeks, and I never received a single response. The workday status remained at “in process” during all of this.
About 8 weeks after my interview the manager I interviewed with emailed me, he asked if I was still interested in the job. I responded that I was. Several weeks pass again, with no correspondence. I followed up with the manager that emailed me. I received no response.
Finally, ten weeks post interview I received an automated email that they moved forward with another candidate.
This by far is the most unprofessional, disastrous interview process I have been through. I am astounded at the level of unaccountability. It’s not even the time it took to get answers that bothers me. I understand the hiring/interview process can be timely. It’s the complete, and total lack of any response whatsoever. As well, the fact that the hiring manager reached out personally via email to me to ask if I was still interested, and I got ghosted AGAIN! Get it together Uhaul. Even a slight improvement here would speak worlds here. I laughed through this entire process. It was so bad, it was entertaining. Yikes!
