I was interviewed over the phone for a position as a summer intern. The interview was fairly informal and focused on why I wanted to be in Washington DC and what parts of being a New Mexican meant the most to me. A few weeks later I received a letter saying I had gotten the position, I never had to do a face to face interview.

I met with 2 staff for the Senator and they asked me about 10 questions, lasting 30-40 minutes. I was then sent a writing evaluation in which I was provided information about an event and was asked to draft a statement from the senator.
