I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at UWorld in Mar 2024
Interview
The initial communication stated: "In order to better determine fit for the consulting role, we would like to move forward with having you complete a video sample. With this sample, we will look at things like technical skill, video/vocal teaching presence, creative abilities, and ability to follow instructions based on the provided prompt."
Next, the hiring person stated, "I am including a zip folder with the materials you will need. This includes instructions, examples, templates, and UWorld images. Typical turnaround time for completing a sample is 2 weeks. You may or may not need that full-time but we like to be flexible so you have enough time to focus on the work quality."
Finally, they confirmed compensation, stating, "This role will pay between $35 and $50 an hour."

Question 1
The hiring person immediately requested an uncompensated "video sample" as the first step in the hiring process. They also sent a zip file with their materials to use for this project, which would obviously be unsafe to open.
