Before agreeing to interview me I was required to take a math test which had nothing to do with my role. I was told that every single person, even at the senior levels had to take it. I was told I aced it by my recruiter and that I would have my first video interview soon. The video interview was scheduled and I logged in at the set time, but the person I was interviewing with never showed up. I emailed the internal talent rep to alert her and she claims she "tried" to reach me about reacheduling, and that it would be rescheduled very soon. I had no missed calls or emails from her, however. I asked about rescheduling a week later when I heard nothing, and she never responded to my email. Weeks went by and they never responded. The external recruiter finally told me that they filled the role internally. That didn't bother me so much, but I found the process to be very unprofessional. To require a 40 minute math test, not show up for an interview, and then fail to follow up about rescheduling was just sloppy and reflects poorly on the company.
