I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at UiPath (Bucharest, Bucuresti) in Jan 2022
Interview
5 rounds of interviews were planned.
After the first technical interview, I realized that it is not what I am looking for because it was a rigid approach and inflexible communication.
I was told to open a text editor and to start writing the code. The problem was to go through a so-called tree and display a result of that tree.
It seemed pretty simple but I asked for an explanation and this is where the inflexibility began. Any questions I asked, the answer was vague.
The way of approaching the problem was a fixed one, not accepting alternative variants or discussing it freely.
I had to use an array for storage, not a list or a model, and no details about what exactly must be displayed(Id, Name,...) just the nodes.
I had the same feeling as in the interviews 15 years ago.
I think I'm getting used to discussing issues too much :D .

I applied online. I interviewed at UiPath (Bucharest, Bucuresti) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview was nice. We discussed my CV, including my projects, future ideas, and passions. At the end, I was given a coding task where I had to identify mistakes in a Java multithreading scenario.
The recruiter was very responsive and helpful. The coding screening was conducted through a website, without any live interaction. While the question itself wasn’t particularly difficult, the amount of code required to solve it was too much for a 30-minute timed interview (100+ lines of code), especially without anyone available to clarify the problem.
