I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Upwork
Interview
It was a terrible experience. I was given a verbal offer asking for a start date (sharing benefits plan), then one week later told that the company was "going in a different direction" with no further explanation.
The process took over 2 months interviewing with 5+ people, with the Recruiter largely unresponsive throughout.
First up was the typical recruiter screen. In addition to screening questions, they also aggressively discussed compensation upfront. The next step was the hiring manager interview, followed by a round of interviews with potential peers.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Are you willing to accept our actual salary range (the bottom of what was advertised) and stock (which was worth less than they stated because they do shenanigans with the valuation)?
The interview process went really well. I took part in a few stages of interviews: screening, tech task call and culture fit meeting. Everything went pretty well. During the screening stage I was asked a few basic questions as well as salary expectations. During the test task I was completing the assignment together with some manager. During the culture fit we talked about my background and the role in general.
It was organized and all are done in UpWork with proper scheduling. The flow of interview are okay and it was a productive one and for any questions you might have the interviewer are knowledgeable with the answers.
