Interview was straightforward and relatively short. First round was a typical phone call and second round was virtual. I was hired after meeting the team in person, but decided to decline due to how far this place was and no wfh policy.
I had a strange experience with this company. Recruiter call and then hiring manager. The hiring manager was oddly out of sorts and needing to settle since she was coming from a meeting. She set it up saying it would be a conversation/informal then asked loads of non-specific questions about my view of the marketing role/function. I got an email shortly after saying they had filled the role. My guess is that she had already made the decision on someone else and didn’t really want to learn about me. Very negative candidate experience.
