I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Vans (Vaughan, ON) in Jul 2015
Interview
The interview process was short and casual. The hiring manager asked many generic sales associate questions. I applied about a few days before I got a call. They happened to be hiring at the time, so they had a lot of interviews scheduled. This was at an outlet location, so I think the store is usually crowded.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vans (Honolulu, HI) in Aug 2015
Interview
I applied online and dropped off my resume in person a few days later. I called the store to check on my application and the assistant manager called me in for an interview.
The initial interview was for a sales associate position. I didn't feel like it was an interview but more of an introduction to the company and just telling the asst. manager about myself. I felt that all went well and really liked how the A.M. was describing working for the company. He said he'd talk to the store manager and he'd call me in a few days to hopefully set up a second interview to try out for the floor supervisor position.
The interview for the floor supervisor had a lot of questions trying to understand my previous work experience and my responsibilities. This interview seems very focus on what I can do for the company in terms of sales. How do I make/keep sales high? How do I typically approach customers and make sales?

Interview
Met with the store manager and interviewed with a store manager from a different location via phone. Phone interview took about 30 minutes and was asked why I was right for the role and what type of experience I had that made me right for the position.
