After I completed the brief online application, within two hours I received a text for the phone interview with a link which allows you to choose a preferred phone interview time. Interview times are offered for up to after a week from your phone interview. Varsity Tutors is busy recruiting, as I had set up an interview time but had to reschedule. When I accessed the link again for available phone interview times, they were a week out. I emailed to try to get something sooner but the response was that they were booked. The phone interview did not even last 10 minutes. I was informed that now that the application was confirmed, and I was not sure what this meant, they were going to review my application again, and be in contact within 2-3 days. I got the impression that the phone interview was rushed and decided to just wait to hear back from them, rather than ask what was meant by a re-reviewing the application. I thought perhaps this meant that they simply wanted to confirm a match between the application/resume identity by phone. A flat rate is offered for online tutors of $15/hr.
