Required a video interview with prerecorded questions. One question required you to create a 10-minute lesson plan with only 15 minutes for prep. I never met or talked to a real person and suddenly I got a contract in my email and a request for a background check. No discussion on pay or hours or training. When I finally got a call asking why I hadn't signed I told them my concerns and they said to look in the 3 contracts they sent for the info. Buried on the last page is the compensation- $14/hour. Less than the minimum wage in the state I reside in (California). The hoops they make you jump through for the interview (preparing a lesson plan, answering questions while timed and recorded, never talking to a human about employment, sending contracts in the email with tiny fine print showing compensation, and requiring a background check before you even accept a position) for such a minimal pay is disgraceful. I sent a rejection and they still send me emails asking for a background check.

I was reached out to via email to set up next steps and schedule the video interview. I had to schedule an online teaching video and do a mock tutoring session type thing.
There was not one only exams that had to be passed to teach certain subjects. It is an AI test so it is set up like an interview. I really liked this process.

You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.
