I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Feb 2020
Interview
Waste of time. The VP rejected me right away at the end of the phone call. Why would he even want to talk if he knew I didn’t have the “right experience”? Just a total waste of mine (and his) time. Of all people, the VP should know that product managers are a “jack of all trades” and come from a unique background. There is no degree in ‘product management.’ How else am I supposed to get the experience if no one takes a gamble on me at some point? Astonishing lack of knowledge and respect by an executive.

Recruiter round followed by several rounds with PMs. Cannot specify due to NDA but I would recommend people to research the team before interview . Would also recommend people to be really prepared for all types of questions
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verkada
Interview
I was contacted for a phone screen by a recruiter first. She was very responsive and I was able to find a time to connect with her quickly. She asked me the basic product manager phone screen questions. I was then connected to a hiring manager for my second round. Although I was asked to come in for a final round, I ultimately decided that it wasn't the right time to make a move yet after I got some personal news.
