I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Jun 2021
Interview
Interview was really vague. Aside from what the company is about, they didn't really ask much questions about recruiting process. It didn't really make sense why they would have someone that doens't really do recruiting interview the candidate. Spent more time talking about what roles were recruited, but when given feedback about lack of marketing recruiting, the question wasn't even addressed. If that's something critical, it's common sense for a hiring manager addresses it.
Only went through with the phone screen - overall very informal phone screen process didn't get a full idea of what the role would be and what growth looked like
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
The hiring process was not good from my perspective. I was outreached by a recruiting manager followed up by a scheduled phone interview which he cancelled twice and shown up late by 5 minutes - 10 minutes each time which I had to send him a follow up email as a reminder. What kind of time management skill is this? Please retrain your hiring manager on basic time management skills.
