I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (Salt Lake City, UT) in Oct 2022
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me via email and Linkedin multiple times so I thought it was worth a conversation. Very pushy and numbers driven--the company is looking to scale their sales team very quickly. First, it was the typical recruiter call with the bland questions that pushed me to the hiring manager interview. He called me about a few minutes late past the hour since he couldn't figure out my number with an area code. He then wanted to hear about me outside my resume? Then the dude went on about his resume and how he ended up where he is, after a bit I started asking questions about the role and the company. He would say something about where the company get prospects and then contradict his response with a different statement on processes--even after I tried to confirm what he said. This guy then went on to explain the difference between mid-market and enterprise prospects. This is a VERY young company and the interviewing manager showed his age by not getting to know the person he is interviewing. Hate to say, but someone with far less experience interviewing you for a role doesn't inspire much confidence.

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verkada (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Very efficient and rapid interview process.
Step 1 - Screening call with HR
Step 2 - Call with Sales Manager
Step 3 - Call with Sales Operations to run through previous performance metrics
Step 4 (final) - In person interview at their office. Consists of a culture fit meeting and a mock discovery call with a prospect
Although I didn't get the offer, Jasmin from the HR team was very efficient and helpful throughout the whole process. She gave a very strong first impression of Verkada from the go.
The initial recruiter did a great job at selling the interview process and awesomeness of the people I would be speaking with. ...They all seemed to be busy with their minds up prior to the meeting. I understand it is a competitive position but it felt like an audition where the director already made up his mind
basic interview questions - had to drive down to do an interview with multiple people, it essentially took a day, just to not get the job. Felt like we could have done it remote.
