I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Apr 2023
Interview
Made it through many rounds, final interview was with who I believe would be my manager. She was clearly reading off a screen the whole time, typing down my answers and not responding to them, just going through her “list” of questions and not really engaging in any type of conversation. She was pretty rude and I don’t think she smiled once. Seemed like it was a huge inconvenience to be there interviewing me, like it was a waste of her time. I expeditiously declined any further interview rounds and thankfully found a much better company to work for. You do not want to be working with someone who can’t even make a good first impression. Remember everyone, they’re looking for the best candidate just the same way YOU are looking for the best company to work for. Don’t just accept any job offer. Make sure you like them too and they make a good impression on you. If not, you’re better off without :)

Question 1
What was a challenge in one of your previous roles?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada (Tampa, FL)
Interview
Very fast paced. Seemed like the recruiter was reading the same script she uses everytime. It was one of my first interviews ever and I think she caught on that I was a bit nervous and reassured me that it was ok and the rest went by quickly.
three rounds not including recruiter, no role plays more so just trying to see if you are a good fit the culture and such not too bad or too difficult
Application
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Verkada (Sydney) in Feb 2026
Interview
Phone, online and in-person interview. They were asking general "why" sales questions. Receive feedback pretty quickly. People and recruiter are very nice and welcoming, they were really helpful throughout the interviewing process.
