Vertica Software Engineer interview questions

2 rounds phone interview, 2 easy coding questions for Summer intern. I was contacted with an initial phone two weeks ago. They asked the question about the column based database. The advantage and dis-advantages, and a series of technical questions. I was told to do a coding challenge then. For the first round the question is : find the largest number smaller than K in a binary search tree (given root node) I got contact after a week, the second round just ask another coding question: leetcode phone number translation. That's it, no other question just coding challenge.....

A recruiter called me after I approached him on linkedin, we then setup a phone interview. The phone interview was via an online collaboration where you get about an hour to solve an algorithm riddle. you have almost no time to actually read and think about the problem, as soon as you login to the online site the answer just appears.
