I went through an extensive two-month interview process at Vetcove where I was considered for three different roles. I had several interviews and put in a great deal of time preparing and engaging with their team.
At first, communication seemed organized and encouraging. I was told I was being considered for multiple potential fits, which made me feel like they truly saw value in my background. But after the final interview, I received only a generic rejection email—no feedback, no explanation, and no acknowledgment of the effort I had put in.
For a company that claims to value innovation and people, this felt hollow and transactional. Candidates deserve at least a sentence of constructive feedback or a genuine thank-you for their time. I expected more professionalism from a Y Combinator-backed startup.
If you're applying here, just know: they might leave you hanging emotionally after a drawn-out process, and you likely won’t get the respect or clarity you deserve in return.
