I never come on these sites to share.. only to learn. However, I feel the need to share an objective review that is real, unembellished, and more importantly, a possible piece of valuable advice to job seekers.
Started out as a typical process with a phone interview followed by a ph one interview with the hiring manager. Finally, I received an invite to come in and interview. However, one in person interview with 3 people turned into a second round with another 3 people which turned into another round with 2 people.. total of 5 rounds with the hiring manager interviewing . What I should have done, though, is trusted my intuition that these rounds were more a fishing expedition than interviews. Standard interview questions (background, situational) turned into VERY specific questions on use cases, business cases, real business problems to which I provided my experienced input. While the overall interview process was handled professionally and in a timely fashion, the only delay was after the final round where I had to proactively follow up with the HR lead who shortly, and on the same day, informed me of their decision to not move forward. To add insult to injury, VIA doesn't provide feedback to their interviewees despite those interviewees dedicating hours of their time to the process.
While i think this company has a long runway ahead of it, be wary of any company that interviews you beyond three rounds.. it may be indicative of the culture under the hood.
