The interview process was unorganized, misleading and completely draining. From the very start, I was transparent in the fact that I had another offer (2+ weeks prior), and they promised that they could get me through the process in my timeframe. Despite my constant follow ups to offer an extension or to see if they needed anything more on my end, they would unexpectedly spring up new assignments and interviews with very little notice and after they said they had everything they needed. I also received multiple verbal offers, and written reassurance from the team throughout the entire process, for them to last minute "not being able to get everything together in my timeline" and making it seem as if I did something wrong. When the tone of my candidacy changed within the matter of a few hours, I was shocked, devastated and absolutely depleted by the amount of time and energy I put into this process. I also was completely overqualified for this role. For a company that strives to better the lives of other people, the internal processes and management of the recruiting process is inconsiderate and callous. I would remind HR to treat candidates as human beings - they put a lot of time into your process (far, far more than other recruitment process) to be treated in such a dismissive, disposable and thoughtless way. It reflects poorly on the company and mission, and it made me realize that I wouldn't want to be at a place that treats people in this regard. The same reason I thought I wanted to work at this company turned out to the be the reason that I felt better off somewhere else.
