I applied online. I interviewed at Virta (Denver, CO) in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process at Virta Health started with a 15-minute phone call with a recruiter to discuss my background and the role. Next, I had two 45-minute interviews: one focused on coaching scenarios and patient engagement, and the other on my work style and collaboration in a remote setting. The final 30-minute interview covered Virta’s company culture, expectations for health coaches, and alignment with their mission. Throughout the process, everyone was very professional, friendly, and timely, making for a smooth and positive experience. Overall, the process was focused on patient care, cultural fit, and assessing my ability to thrive in the role.

How would you approach a member who is disengaged?
I applied online. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Virta in Nov 2023
Interview
12 months after applying, taking a test, and passing a phone interview and two scenario based interviews, the recruiter eagerly contacted me to have my final interview. Unfortunately, this interview with the Clinical Division Lead is what ended the process - she dinged me in for an impression she had of me that could have easily been resolved with a simple question. I got the impression I was not hired to send a message to the hiring team of who is really in charge. Regardless of the high sounding missions these companies proclaim, they are still groups of people who want to feel important - and sometimes that will be at your expense. But to be fair, up to the last interview, I did feel the process was a good one, though ridiculously long for a simple coaching job.
