I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Virtu Financial (Dublin, Dublin)
Interview
Skype interview with a recruiter (Competency based questions)
Then had a Skype interview with someone from HR (Competency based questions only)
Assessment Day
Sat a logic/reasoning IQ test when I arrived (pattern recognition), which I passed before proceeding to the next round which was an interview with a trader (brain teaser questions)
Then proceeded to a lunch interview in which I was asked about myself.
A lack of coding experience and not demonstrating enough interest in the company during the lunch interview was my downfall so if you get this far make sure not to drop off as i believe this is one of the final stages.

Brain teasers
1. If you have 8 monkeys (and one is slightly heavier than the rest) how many goes are needed to determine the heavy monkey? What if you had 27 monkeys? or if you had x goes how many monkeys could you work with?
2. Estimate how many lakes are in Canada?
3. if you had a deck of 52 cards in which all the card were red on one side and black on the other. If 32 cards were facing up red and 20 black to begin with, how would you divide the cards into two groups with the same number of black cards in each group whilst blindfolded? Write an equation which demonstrates this relationship?
4. If we were to play a game of double or quits starting with €1 how many games in a row would you need to win before you become a millionaire?
Very long interview process. Technical assessment and technical round and then onsite super day interview. Very unnecessarily long in my opinion, interviewed with around 6 people onsite, emphasis on long hours. A lot of statistical/probability questions and brain teasers.
