Interview
I have interviewed with many large prop trading/market-making firms and can say that the process with Virtu was the best by far. I heard back at every stage within a week and communication was always transparent and efficient.
First, a standard online coding assessment, not too difficult and time was reasonable. Then had a behavioral interview with HR. The interviewer was very helpful and provided a ton of information about the company, the position, and the culture. Then, 2 technical interviews with current traders. Started with some behavioral questions and then some quantitative brainteasers at the end. Overall, interviews were very laid back and conversational. I struggled with the brainteasers but the interviewers helped me with hints. I did not make it past the 2nd technical interview.

First stage is Hackerrank, these were easy-medium leetcode type questions. Second round was HR where I was asked typical motivational questions and one brainteaser. Then two rounds of technical interviews with traders with some more brainteasers and more technical experience questions and some questions about the firm and how they/HFT operate. Did not make it to final round (superday in Dublin).

How does Virtu make money, how would you go about doing HFT, what skills can you bring from previous experience
The first round was just a standard coding assesment with 5 questions. The second round was the HR interview with the usual questions about the company and my past experience. They asked the clock question which many others have mentioned.
