      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Virtu Financial (Cornwall on Hudson, NY) in Aug 2020

      Interview

Codility Interview followed by logic tests and interviews with several staff on the team you'd be joining. Each in separate meetings that took the course of a couple weeks. Interviews didn't hide the fact that working more than 40 hours was expected.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Asked about how orders to the server get queued and executed when buying and selling shares.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Virtu Financial (London, England) in Sep 2020

      Interview

Coding test initially. Average difficulty. Think I got it all done and working properly. Phone interview with HR went well, got on quite well. Then a phone interview with another Core Ops guy. Didn't like or dislike him. Pretty much failed me cause I didn't know -n 5 when using head would give the first 5 lines... I just said I'd use --help and that'd tell me the command. Then in the feedback they claimed they didn't want me cause they don't use kubernetes or puppet. I didn't say those words!!! One of them MAY have come up in just a general, do you use this.
