Interview
It was a phone interview, asked what do you know about ITG, then random questions based on my resume. Then he asked what do you know about capital markets. At this point I knew I was not going to move onto the next phase but it was his behaviour at the end which I found was very rude.
When I asked when will I hear back on next steps he said "you'll hear back today, like I'm going to decide in the next 10 min. It's all automated in our system. If you don't hear back today you didn't get it." Ok wow thanks for being so blunt and making me feel like another number.
Then the best part was we were wrapping up and I said "ok thanks, I hope to hear back soon!" with a friendly voice and he CHUCKLED and said "have a nice day" and hung up.
I knew I wasn't moving past this phase but he did not have to be so rude and blatant. I'm glad I dodged this bullet honestly.
If I got such a bad impression from thr first phase interview, I can't even imagine what working there would be like.
