I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vizient (Irving, TX) in Apr 2015
Interview
I was asked to meet with three to five directors / Senior Directors on the team and then further meet with the Vice President and Senior Vice President who were over the business functional unit. Some of the interviewing individuals were formed into a panel interview and the others were separated into one to one interviews whereas one interview was by the phone. The conversation was fairly casual in nature. They asked the typical questions. I could tell that some of the interviewers were used to using the STARR method however the company has appeared to move away from that style in general. They spent a lot of time talking about the role and expectations.

Describe the reasons you believe you are the best fit for this role
I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Vizient (Irving, TX) in Jun 2025
Interview
Initial call with recruiter. Then met with hiring manager. Then met with another manager. Went great both times. Two weeks later, was told the position was offered to someone else. Three weeks after being told I was passed over, I was asked to come in for an interview person interview for the same position. Met with the hiring manager, AVP, and VP. Very easy interview. Went great again. Thought I nailed it. Two weeks later, I was again told I was passed over for a second time. I really don’t think they were/are hiring for this role. The hiring manager, the AVP, and the VP couldn’t even articulate what their own roles are, so there appears to be a massive amount of confusion and misunderstanding. The idea of Vizient seems great but I don’t think there’s an actual vision.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Vizient
Interview
Experienced a lot of issues with this process. HR dropped the ball multiple times and ended up reaching out to me at weird times with urgency because they needed to get something scheduled ASAP (got a call around 8pm on a Sunday evening to schedule a Monday morning call). Long interview process that included 6 rounds of interviews, along with a case study and presentation. Seemed like the direct manager had someone in mind for the role, but others weren't sold on it.

Question 1
How do you deal with conflict within a team during a project? Provide an example from past experience.
It was a joke. We just walked through my resume. Clearly already had someone in mind for the role. Waste of time. They also are not transparent about location and remote flexibility.
