Voleon Operations Associate interview questions

I interviewed on-campus, followed by a Skype interview ~2 weeks later, followed by an invitation to interview on-site ~2 weeks after that. They put me up in a very nice hotel in downtown Berkeley, but the flight plan they booked for me was very inconvenient. On-site was 5 1:1 interviews, including one conducted over lunch. Everyone I spoke with seemed friendly, intelligent and hardworking. HR manager told me I should hear back in 2 weeks. After 2 months and no followup, I received an offer elsewhere, and emailed Voleon to ask if they would have a decision for me in time to respond to my other offer. I was told that they were "still deliberating" and to be patient. I waited until I had one day left to respond to my other offer, at which point I emailed Voleon to let them know I would have to withdraw my candidacy. Only then did I receive a generic rejection letter. I don't know if I was waitlisted in favor of another candidate, or if they over-expanded and didn't have the budget for another associate; either way I didn't appreciate being kept in the dark 7 weeks past the point when I was told to expect a decision. I also didn't appreciate the "you can't reject us, we reject you" move.
