Very strange process that didn't really allow me to gauge what I would be working on and didn't really attempt to get to know me. A couple of technical interviews and 1 behavior with someone from upper management. The only behavior was with someone that had a very strong personality that was opposite of mine, no doubt we would not get along. So basically only one person (who I would not want to work with personally) was measuring my ability to get work done past solving the silly usual puzzles. Plus It was very clear that they are obsessed with songs going viral rather than creating art.

Interview
Got an email from recruiter, had the first standard recruiter call - mostly chatting about my past experiences, my expectations and she told me what to expect in the interviews which consists of 2 technical screenings, 1 system design, and 1 hiring manager call. I did the two technical screenings back to back, 1.5 hours each. First question involved manipulating and updating a nested arrays based on some rules. Second question was a bit more tedious, wouldn't say difficult, just a lot of edge cases to consider, not much of data structure but more of how you can structure your code and make use of helpers to make the code maintainable and scalable. Got the standard rejection letter a week out. Everyone that I talked to was pleasant, the coding questions were somewhat interesting so I had some good fun regardless.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Given a 2D array, update the value of each cell based on its neighbors according to a list of rules.
Followup: what if it's a 3D array
Turn an integer between 0~999 into words, for example 517 would output Five Hundred Seventeen.
Followup: Extend your function to take in a number between 0~999,999,999,999,999.
The system design interview followed a standard process, and the interviewer was supportive, making me feel at ease. I was tasked with designing a streaming service like Netflix, discussing the architecture, choosing appropriate technologies, and considering trade-offs. The overall experience was smooth and stress-free.

Interview
1. HR screen
2. Tech screens: Sysdesign + coding
3. Onside: Sysdesign + coding + behavioural/deep-dive
My techscreen had a very hard coding question, and the sys design was with 2 people (interviewer plus a shadow) who had a poor command of English language. Somehow I survived this.
Onsite:
- Coding question was a very easy leetcode problem, no followup questions.
- Sysdesign was a engineer who had a completely different sys design style compared to the one I had before. During my earlier sysdesign, the interviewer kept interrupting and telling me what to answer next. For this one, interviewer kept silent most of the time and let me talk to myself most of the interview.
- Behavioural/Deep-dive was again a manager who had a very poor command of English language. I struggled with this one and was probably the one I did poorly on and she kept misunderstanding what I was saying (trying to catch me in lies).
All-in-all I think I did well, but I think they slowed down hiring to the point where you really need a strong hire signal from every interviewer to get an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tech screens:
1. Variations of merging lists (when input is lists, when input is matrices, etc.) lot's of tweaks and followups.
2. System design was design Shopify. Interviewer basically asked me questions and told me what to do next, did not even require a drawing.
Onsite:
1. Coding was 3SUM
2. Sysdesign is to design a system that can manage music and upload them to music streaming services like Shopify.
3. Deep dive was someone asking you to describe your past experience and trying hard to catch you in lies.
