      Recruiter Interview

      May 8, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Weebly (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

The phone call was really just focused on perks. The recruiter barely asked questions about my background or the qualifications needed for the role. I decided to go onsite just to see what they were about. Again, the perks were the star of the show (which don't get me wrong are pretty awesome), but I care more about the product and people as opposed to the perks. They were pretty unorganized. When I met the recruiter and the manager, they started to bad mouth about 1 of the hiring managers who is difficult to work with. It is understandable that at any job that there will be tough hiring managers to work with, but it is not needed to discuss this in front of the recruiter candidate during an interview. I actually met the hiring manager after waiting around for 15 mins and he wasn't as bad as they said. All in all, they invited me for the 1 week trial and I wasn't into that. I find it to be an ineffective practice and covers up for horrible screening.

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Weebly (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2015

      Interview

Throughout the phone call, I was pitched primarily on the perks (free food, massages, gym, etc). As a Recruiter, I'm aware that these do not define culture, yet this was all that was being pitched to me. I was informed by the Recruiter that they expect all new hires to commit to a paid 1-week work trial, which I found odd. The Recruiter asked general questions about my experience, and then asked if I would like to meet the rest of the team. She then explained that they were out and things "moved slowly" at Weebly. This was enough to know that this was not the place for me (you can't move at a slow pace while Recruiting in SF), nor would I be able to hire people and feel good about it.

      Recruiter Interview

      Sep 3, 2014
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Scottsdale, AZ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Weebly (Scottsdale, AZ)

      Interview

First phone interview was with a recruiter and that was average at best. Second interview was with a VP and it seemed he didn't have a very good idea of how to screen the candidates he would be looking for. The third was an in person interview that was scheduled for an hour and a half. I showed up and the VP was in another meeting and the rest of the panel was apartment shopping. I was taken to lunch by an assistant and the interview ended up being 20 minutes that they managed to squeeze in before the next candidate came in. The worst interview experience I've ever had. There was obviously a complete lack of consideration for my time.
