I had applied through a job posting online and their internal recruiter contacted me within the week. I had a phone screen with the hiring manager which involved. After the phone interview, I was asked to do a separate example code project/challenge given some use cases which I was able to do as intended. After I successfully executed the code challenge, I was invited for an in-person interview with the hiring manager, and development team. The in-person was technical but at the same time, having to do whiteboarding on CS topics that were perhaps I had studied for well over 10 years ago, I found to be uncomfortable and unnecessary for the job. Even the hiring manager admitted that the whiteboarding technical questions was not going to be relevant to the job.
