I applied online on September 4th, 2010, and it wasn't 48 hours before I had a phone call asking me to come in for an interview. The next date available wasn't until the following Wednesday, but I agreed to take it.
The first interview was very, very basic. It mostly consisted of typical goals and aspirations questions, what will you bring to the company, and why do you want to work here. If you smile, answer the questions honestly and thoughtfully, and act professional you will probably get some form of a second interview. I applied for a position in Pizza originally, but at the end she asked me which department I'd most like to work in, and we decided something in culinary (prepared, pizza, subs) would be best. With subs being ideal for the ability to train in constant customer service.
They were interviewing a very large number of people at the time and it took about two weeks until I was called in for a second interview. I spoke with the department manager in the interview and we started with the same generic questions. After a little bit we switched to specific, more culinary oriented, and eventually more sub shop oriented, questions. At the end of the interview I was told that it was guaranteed that I would get the job, and that once the person in charge of the hiring process got back from vacation (two more weeks) I would be called in to finalize it.
Low and behold, just about two weeks later I got a call, and got a job. The process was smooth, straightforward, and earned me a good job.
