First contact was an email from one of their in-house recruiters. We scheduled a phone call, which took place the next day. The phone interview with the recruiter felt relaxed and comfortable, we chatted and she confirmed details of my background, work and tax prep experiences. The next step was a remote video proctored test, with around 10-20 questions (multiple choice or short answer), and the last question was the one below and I had to do a recorded on-camera response. This was related to the role, which was as a tax expert assisting clients on-camera as they self-prepared their tax return using DIY software. After passing the test, WilsonHCG did a background check and I was offered the job. The whole process took less than 2 weeks, during December 2023.
