What Wyze calls "a comprehensive interview process" is a massive waste of time and energy for everyone involved. I went through a phone screen with a recruiter and two hour-long interviews with the marketing team before the final round. The final round consists of a 20 minute presentation, Q&A on said presentation, and then four more hour-long interviews. That's a total of 7.5 hours, before factoring in the time spent creating original content for the presentation and practicing it.
During the 1-1 interviews, it became clear that they did not respect my time or me as a person. One department lead continuously interrupted me to talk about himself, and made a comment about how I play with my hair too much when I asked if there were any concerns I could address. One of the founders showed up late, told me he didn't like interviewing people, and scrolled through my portfolio while he seemingly made questions up on the spot.
I was eventually passed up for the position due to my lack of experience, something the hiring manager was aware of from my very first interview. If it was that big of an issue, it should have been caught before we all invested this much time in the process. I felt like I was set up to fail and never respected or taken seriously through the whole process.
