I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Yext (New York, NY) in Jul 2020
Interview
I was referred by a Yext employee. I had a phone call with the SE recruiter, and a SE manager. The SE recruiter told me he would get back to me, but never did. I followed up on 3 separate occasions. On each occasion, he promised there would be an update ASAP but never answered. After a month of this, I stopped reaching out. The SE recruiters should not be ghosting candidates, especially referrals. Really reflected poorly on the company.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Yext
Interview
Overall the interview process consisted of a quick chat with a recruiter, an interview with the hiring manager, after that I talked to the VP of the division, an optional chat with my direct team member (which I accepted) and after that I was questioned to give a panel presentation consisting of a presentation of my choice and 15 minutes presenting Yext products. They provided me a lot of content to chose from for the Yext part.
The internal recruiter and I kept in steady contact and after they have made up their mind, we talked about final conditions and the offer was made.
