The position was based in my home country, but the company required me to travel to their overseas headquarters for a face-to-face interview. Although they knew I would need to travel internationally, they did not provide any travel allowance or reimbursement. As a result, I had to cover all transportation and travel expenses myself. After investing significant time, effort, and money in the interview process, I only received a generic notification that I had not been selected. No interview feedback was provided, despite the considerable commitment required. While I understand that companies cannot hire every candidate, offering constructive feedback would have been appreciated, especially after asking candidates to travel internationally at their own expense.
