Zapproved interview questions

Phone screen with HR lady. I received an email asking if I was willing to talk to HR about the resume I submitted. I responded and had a phone screen scheduled for the following day.

I applied for a customer success specialist position on the Zapproved website. I was contacted a few days later for a preliminary phone interview. The interviewer was pleasant, but seemed unprepared for our discussion. She stopped the conversation a few times throughout the call -- the first time because another candidate was on the other line or in the office (I couldn't figure out exactly what was going on), and then again when she needed to jump off the phone for a minute for reasons unknown. We all have hectic days, so while kind of annoying/distracting, it wasn't a huge deal. I thought the interview went well, and the recruiter informed me that she would pass word along to the team and let me know of next steps. She mentioned that if I didn't hear anything by the end of the week I should reach out to her. Here's the part that doesn't sit well with me: The complete lack of professionalism when it comes to following up with job candidates. Its been almost a month and I haven't heard a peep from anyone at Zapproved, despite reaching out to them multiple times. It's all good if I wasn't their ideal candidate, but at least let me know that. Are those seeking jobs considered a lesser species? What's up with this "ghosting" trend that exists in today's job market and how do we put an end to it? By all accounts, it seems like Zapproved is a great place to work. It doesn't seem like one can say the same about their interview process, however. Bottom line: Learn to be respectful and considerate of candidates' time.
