      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zscaler (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2016

      Interview

I applied online for the role and heard from the Recruiting Manager within several days to schedule a phone interview with her. During the phone interview, I spoke about my background and explained why I was looking for something new then received additional information about the opening and the team. Before the phone interview wrapped up, I was asked if I'd like to move forward by coming in for an in-person interview. I agreed to and came in the following week to have a 1-on-1 interview with two Marketing Managers and the Recruiting Manager. I was quite disappointed with my interviews with the Marketing Managers as their cell phones kept going off. I found it to be very distracting. At one point, one of the managers took their phone out to text and answer calls. Completely derailed the interview as she lost her train of thought. At that point, I knew it was downhill from there and my time was going to be wasted. On another note, I was delighted to meet the Recruiting Manager in person as she was very personable over the phone. She chatted with me about the company culture and what the next steps were going to be which was an in-person with the CMO. To say the least, I left knowing I didn't care if I moved forward.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Zscaler (Sydney) in May 2025

      Interview

Moved very quickly through each stage. However there were multiple stakeholders. Some wanted to have a conversation others were more interview style. Generally positive experience. Recruiter was very helpful. Could highlight more of the benefits as they are a good draw

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Zscaler (San Jose, CA)

      Interview

Initial interview was with a recruiter. Afterwards, I spoke to the hiring manager. Then I spoke to three other people. The overall process was not consistent. The recruiter was misinformed a majority of the time. Everything was quite frankly confusing. What solidified my sentiment was when I was stood up for my last interview. I later received an email trying to reschedule but wow, getting to the final stage and feeling ghosted was not appreciated. Also some of the questions that were asked could be perceived as inappropriate? Truly glad I didn’t get an offer bc with the shift in changing execs, I don’t think this was the best time to join.
