Executive Assistant Interview Questions
Like administrative assistants, executive assistants must demonstrate exceptional organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Executives are looking for candidates with impeccable written and oral abilities who can manage typical administrative software. Expect interviewers to ask how you would handle a variety of difficult situations, such as prioritizing multiple deadlines, working well in groups, and defusing irate people.

What I found most challenging as an Executive Assistant in my previous role?
3 strengths and 3 weaknesses
How would you handle an upset customer, or their parents? Normally we get contacted regarding charges on rent. Kids forgetting to pay, or not paying on time...the parent calls understably upset when credit card charge is more than expected.
Most of the questions were fairly standard, but I gave up on the interview being a realistic or professional process when the questions veered into "Why do you keep talking about people skills? Admins don't have to be nice to people to do their jobs, if we had someone who was cranky with everyone but had technical chops I'm sure they'd do just fine here" and "I'm listening, you should take this time now to convince me that EAs have reason work with many groups within the organization". About the time things got to "Actually I don't really need someone to do much beyond manage my schedule and book travel. Would you be happy just doing that? I want to hire someone who loves doing nothing but scheduling.", I knew it was time to go.
What was my ability to achieve success assisting at the executive level?
I was asked to complete an assignment with very real life scenarios that the company has actually encountered. I was asked how I would handle the situations. It was difficult but also such an effective way to gauge if the candidate would really be a good fit for the role!
