Interview was canceled and role was filled. This was an associate level role that typically would require 2-3 interviews. Prior to my first interview (scheduled less than a week after my invitation and less then 2 weeks after my initial application) the recruiter emailed me and told me the position was filled. Assuming they had a referral or an internal hire just really bad practice to offer first round interviews and proceed to fill the role within less than a week.
