There was a phone screen, followed by 4 interviews. Three of the five interviews had technical aspects. Seem to be very picky on the technical parts of the interview. Felt kinda leet-code-y.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Build a tic-tac-toe verifier. Do some SQL JOINS. Lots of behavioral questions.
The interview is structured into three main rounds:
1. HR Screening: This involves a basic exchange of information about the company.
2. Technical Screening: Candidates participate in a one-hour paired coding exercise with an engineer.
3. Final Round (Store Round): This includes one hour of system design, one hour of coding challenges, and interviews focusing on behavioral questions and cultural fit.
The first two rounds and the behavioral question segments were straightforward. However, the final system design and coding rounds presented some challenges. While I believe I delivered clear solutions and thoroughly explained my thought process, the energy levels and engagement from the engineers seemed low, which might have impacted the dynamics of the interaction.
Although my solutions addressed various use cases and corner cases, I did not pass this stage. The reasons provided were vague, leaving me uncertain about their specific standards.

Question 1
Not leetcode, but rather practical coding and system design exercises.
I applied online. I interviewed at hims & hers in Dec 2023
Interview
Initial phone screen with recruiter, then a tech round with the hiring manager (resume, sys design, and one easy/medium leetcode question), final round is with with a director of tech (general discussion about tech and resume), product manager (resume discussion and a lot of hypothetical scenario questions - ex: what would you do in this situation, etc), senior dev (leetcode medium question and sys design questions about projects on my resume), principal dev (general coding question - very easy - and then a lot of systems design questions - one provided by him and the others based on projects within my resume).
Honestly, everyone was great to speak with and I found the interview process to be well organized.

Question 1
Leetcode string related question (easy/medium, I forget which), second one has a twist on a searching algo question (marked easy but more like a medium if you haven't seen it before most likely).
