Information Manager Interview Questions

8,207 information manager interview questions shared by candidates

One interviewer was pretty focused on whether or not I would introduce needless bureaucracy or complex processes (because of the job I was interviewing for). It felt a bit uncomfortable, because it seemed as if what the interviewer objected to was the position itself, and not myself as a candidate. At any rate, I was able to answer that concern by simply asserting that I was an advocate of "mindful bureaucracy"-- which seemed to satisfy him.

Because I was already working there as a vendor, I didn't get asked the usual critical thinking questions (why are manholes round, etc). Instead, I was asked to explain why it made sense for them to bring me in as an FTE as opposed to continuing as a vendor with fewer responsibilities and accountabilities - how would I take ownership and improve the service we were providing.
