I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at projekt202 in Jun 2018
Interview
Got it touch with the recruiter and he set up an interview after a casual phone call talking about my experience, bg etc. Received an email describing the on-site interview which consists of casual Q&A where I got to ask questions as well, portfolio review (which might've not have happened had I not reminded them lol), whiteboarding design session (20 min - you get to choose from a list of challenges), and chat with the director of UX. Everyone was easy-going and pleasant and I found the whiteboarding process pretty fun.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at projekt202 (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2022
Interview
The interview process was very thorough because they want to make sure you really have the skills you say you do, which I was glad to see. Definitely come prepared.
First interview was with a Senior Director, reviewing portfolio, talking about design, the company, and the role.
Next round was a 2 hour panel interview including a deep dive into past work, lots of questions, and a 20-30 minute design challenge. Come prepared to present your work in a coherent manner and answer a lot of questions. For the design challenge, they want to see your thought process and that you can quickly come up with a plan when designing a new solution and then explain your thinking.
