We are here 24/7 – the only hospital serving the high-density area of East Los Angeles. We understand the impact we have on our neighbors and our potential to improve the overall health of the communities we serve. In a recent survey of employees across our Pipeline Health organization, employees told us that the work they do is meaningful to them. Survey respondents gave this statement an average score of 4.6 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being “strongly agree.” Among our recent accomplishments: -Renovated Emergency Department facilities to create enhanced efficiency, including eight emergency rooms, emergency lobby and support areas. -Received geriatric Emergency Department accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians for excellent care of older adults. East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital is a part of the Pipeline Health system, along with our four affiliated hospitals: Memorial Hospital of Gardena, Coast Plaza Hospital and Community Hospital of Huntington Park. Together, we have created an innovative Patient Hub – a transfer center that moves eligible patients from other hospitals to available beds in our hospitals for quality care. We’re Here for Our Community. At Coast Plaza Hospital, we are here for our community. And, as a team, we enjoy a family-like work environment. Among our recent accomplishments: -Developed an innovative Behavioral Health Unit to expand access to services of critical need in the community. We expect this to become a model for mental health support in our country. -Received three-year accreditation from The Joint Commission, demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement in patient care and signaling to our patients that the hospital is committed to providing safe, quality care. -Expanded to offer a full range of imaging services including MRI, CT and ultrasound. -Cultivated growth in the Workman’s Compensation surgical program, bringing in multiple orthopedic specialties, including general, hand, total joint, arthroscopic and neuro spine--producing good outcomes and growing volume with complex cases. -Secured a large FQHC with multiple locations in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire to assist in offering additional social service and primary care resources to the Behavioral Health patients, especially those most at risk. Our hospital is conveniently located next to several freeways -- the 91, 605, 5 and 105 -- and we offer free parking. Coast Plaza Hospital is a part of the Pipeline Health system, along with our four affiliated hospitals: Memorial Hospital of Gardena, Community Hospital of Huntington Park and East Los Angeles Hospital. We are here 24/7 – the only hospital serving the high-density area of Huntington Park, Maywood, Vernon, and Bell Gardens. And we’ve been doing that for decades. Survey respondents gave this statement an average score of 4.6 on a scale of 1-5, with 5 being “strongly agree.” Inside our hospital, our dedicated team enjoys a family-like work environment. Following are a few of our recent accomplishments: -Received geriatric Emergency Department accreditation from the American College of Emergency Physicians for excellent care of older adults. -Enhanced operational focus on Emergency Department throughput, including reconstruction of the EMS ambulance entrance. -Completed remodel of 12 inpatient rooms. -Received $120,000 CalBridge Navigator Grant to increase access to addiction and mental health treatment. -Piloted the innovative ER Fast Pass program to help patients move through the ER faster by decreasing patient processing time. In addition, we frequently go out into the community to provide blood pressure screening, blood sugar testing and health education.
