The History of Brandon Wilde.

Our Brandon Wilde is made up of over 400 residents and 200 staff members. Residents have come from all over the world to be a part of this active retirement community in Evans, GA. Brandon Wilde offers the privacy and beauty of an 73-acre wooded campus minutes away from all the conveniences of Augusta, Atlanta and Charlotte.

Started by a small group at Augusta’s University Hospital, the Augusta Resource Center on Aging, Inc. (dba Brandon Wilde) opened in October 1990. The name Brandon Wilde was chosen to honor the first lasting pioneer settlement in Columbia County, known as Brandon, and Augusta poet and statesman Richard Henry Wilde.

Philanthropy

Philanthropy has always been an integral part of allowing Brandon Wilde to maintain its high standards and position as a leader in retirement living.

Examples of what has been made possible by the generosity of residents and friends of Brandon Wilde over the years: scholarships for employees, extra amenities for residents, and improvements that have added to the quality of life at Brandon Wilde. Brandon Wilde also has established the Life Care Support Endowment to assist LifeCare® residents of Brandon Wilde who need assistance.
