The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), known for its black and white panda logo, strives to protect the diversity of life on the planet. WWF operates projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America, and Eurasia with national affiliates in about 100 countries. The group publishes data on endangered wildlife, wild places, and global challenges, such as toxic chemicals and climate change. Founded in 1961, WWF is supported by 1.2 million members in the US and close to 5 million globally.
