Founded by Nurses who spent decades working with people with Developmental Disabilities, DDN has been focused on providing nursing and support for nurses in a Developmental Disabilities setting for over 20 years.
Our founder’s set out to improve nursing for people with a Developmental or Intellectual Disability. They believed the best way to accomplish their goal was to focus on developing nurses. Their vision guides us to this day.
We are passionate advocates for the field of Developmental Disabilities Nursing.
> We attract and train more nurses to the field than any other provider in New England.
> We promote the ongoing training and education of nurses committed to this field.
> Our team is comprised of more nurses who have obtained the Certified Developmental Disabilities Certification (CDDN) than any provider in New England.
> Our team of Nurses are active members of the Connecticut and National Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association.
