Description Deseret Generation and Transmission Cooperative supplies wholesale electricity to its members (six retail distribution cooperatives) and other bulk energy customers in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. The member-owned utility operates 223 miles of transmission lines, and it has interests in two power generation facilities in Utah that give it about 550 MW of capacity. Deseret also operates its own coal mine, which fuels its main power plant, through subsidiary Blue Mountain Energy; other generation support operations include the transportation of coal by railroad and the development of a limestone extraction facility.
