In celebration of Women's History Month this past March, we honored the incredible achievements and contributions of women throughout history and continue to do so today. Among the many trailblazers, we highlighted pioneers in the HVAC industry like Alice H. Parker, who patented a revolutionary central heating system using natural gas, and Margaret Ingels, who joined the American Society of Heating and Ventilating Engineers (now ASHRAE) in 1921 and conducted groundbreaking air conditioning research for six years. Recently, a dedicated team from Petro Home Services stepped up to make a difference, joining Habitat for Humanity in Croydon, PA, for a transformative home rehabilitation project. Our team collaborated closely with Habitat for Humanity’s crew, tackling a range of essential tasks. Building community with Habitat for Humanity. Whether it's donating time, talent, equipment or funds, the Petro Home Services team always takes the opportunity to make a positive difference in the communities that we serve. Through a long-standing partnership with Habitat for Humanity, Petro has joined forces to help families create better lives through home ownership. Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. Families and individuals in need of help partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home, alongside volunteers from the local community and team members from companies like Petro. Petro teams participate in many Habitat for Humanity home builds and other initiatives in communities that we serve throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Over the years, the Petro team has also helped communities around the US get homes back up and running after major storms and natural disasters, by donating and installing HVAC systems and helping rebuild homes. ShiningStar – celebrating our team’s success stories. There’s some terrific work taking place at Petro Home Services and in our surrounding communities, all done by team members. In 2023 we launched a quarterly program to recognize and reward these outstanding contributions in a meaningful way – ShiningStar.
