Pros

Work from home, equipment is provided, pretty good medical benefits, company culture

Cons

Taking time off can be difficult and confusing based on their points system and staffing needs. Higher ups don’t listen to the concerns of the people actually doing the work every day. When I started there was only a 2 chat maximum. Soon they integrated a 3 chat maximum and said that it would be less than 10% of the time. That was a lie. It was a constant thing and was often made worse because workforce was always randomly deciding that we didn’t need as many agents working certain times so would let people go home early. When everyone voiced their concerns about the new workload and stress we were all under we were constantly dismissed and never compensated for our work. Also because of the increased chats QA scores suffered which meant you didn’t get your bonus if your score was low. Also the constant pressure to upsell customers when you’re trying to juggle so many chats is ridiculous. I was docked points on a QA because I didn’t try to sell a customer a year supply when he was trying to figure out why he hadn’t received the contacts he had already ordered (they were discontinued but still on the website to be purchased).

Pros

Work from home. They provide equipment.

Cons

This is a sales job, you are expected to make sales offers to customers calling to ask anything about their orders. Expect to be glued to your desk taking back to back calls and they monitor your breaks down to the minute. It’s a high demand job and the pay is embarrassingly low for the work we are doing. Getting any time off is complicated with their points system and you’re often expected to find someone else who can work your shift, which is difficult to do as a new employee who doesn’t know many co-workers. I would not recommend.

We’re saddened to hear about your experience. Everything we do is from the customer experience backwards – including offering the best deal possible, anticipating their future needs, and being available to answer their call by the second ring. That being said, we also want to make sure our people feel supported and have the training and tools needed to excel in their role, and this includes understanding how to have the most flexibility possible using our points system. We feel confident that our pay is market competitive and the bonus incentive program for our Customer Department generous; however, we are more than happy to pass along your feedback to our Benefits and Compensation team for review. To any associates with similar feelings or frustrations, we encourage you to reach out to your manager or HR business partner. We’re here to listen, connect you with any resources you may need, and partner with you to help you succeed. To the associate who shared their experience, we appreciate you taking the time to leave feedback and wish you well in your future pursuits.

Pros

After having worked for a couple companies that placed little to no value in their people, it’s refreshing to be in an environment that helps you feel at home, validated and taken care of. The company perks are great, but it’s a wonder sometimes if that positive, beneficial culture comes at the expense of its very people.

Cons

The compensation plan, foremost, is terrible. This company is well aware of how it’s compensation is well below what the industry is offering and the performance review structure is less than inspiring. Changes to the structure have been promised for so very long but nothing seems to be changing. $12 an hour is not a livable wage.

Thank you for your feedback. As the Director of compliance, I’m always striving to improve the associate experience and part of that is making sure we are providing a competitive hourly wage. One of my goals is to review the current compensation for all roles and make sure we are remaining competitive in today’s job market. Since we are going through a period of change we are certainly evaluating our pay structure as part of the changes we are making. I would love to sit down with you and have a further discussion about your thoughts around compensation and anything else you would like.
