Pros

Working here has been a genuinely rewarding experience, and a big part of that comes down to the company's core values. Being Big Hearted, Tenacious, Unconventional, and Better Together aren't just words on a wall — they're lived out every day in how we treat each other and approach our work. This is a place that truly believes in giving opportunities to everyone, regardless of where you're starting from. I've seen firsthand how the company invests in its people and opens doors that might not exist elsewhere. The team here is something special. My coworkers are collaborative, supportive, and genuinely fun to be around. And the leadership? They set a strong example — approachable, clear, and consistent. One thing I really appreciate is always knowing what's expected of me. There's no guessing game, which makes it so much easier to do my best work and grow in my role. Overall, this is a place where you feel valued, challenged, and supported all at once. I'm proud to be part of this team.

Pros

I could talk for hours and hours about why I love this company (and if you run into me in person, you'll likely find me doing just that) but the top 5 reasons I love 1-800 Contacts are: 1. They care about people. The people that work there, and their customers. They go above and beyond for their own and show up when it matters most. Just one example; my dad passed away unexpectedly this last year, and I had more than 20 1-800 Contacts co-workers show up to my dad's -- who they've never met -- funeral. 2. They truly value work life balance. I have worked here for almost a decade, in multiple different roles, with different time off strategies and have never been unable to take the time off that I've needed. 3. When other companies in the valley were having layoffs, 1-800 Contacts was giving dividend payouts. This included anyone, full-time and part-time, who has been with the company more than 3 months. And we still have stock in the company today. 4. The leadership is top notch. Our CEO is open and honest and doesn't sugar coat things. He can explain complex issues simply AND he's one of the nicest people on the planet that cares about making a difference. 5. There is a place for everyone. Want to climb the corporate ladder? 1-800 is the place. They care about your development and will help you get where you want to go. Want to work and go to school? 1-800 is the place. They'll even help cover tuition. Want to have a part-time split shift so you can be a parent and have a extra income? 1-800 is the place. They'll help you find a schedule that fits your home life. No company is perfect, but 1-800 Contacts is pretty close.

Cons

They care so much about feedback and sometimes forget they can't please everyone.

Pros

Where do you start. This company values their employees, from a competitive total compensation package, to benefits and perks (20/20 Grill). It is just evidence of the culture of people taking care of people. What companies give their employees the flexibility to take time off as needed in all areas of the business. Whether you are in an operations role or working within a corporate capacity, you have multiple options for time off. Hybrid roles are also a huge plus, being able to work remotely when business needs allow is huge.

Cons

Sometimes the company is so feedback forward focused that it feels like feedback is created just so someone can get feedback.
