Pros

Health care was exceptional. Flexibility with work schedule (depending on your department). Great people.

Cons

Just about everything else. Company is led by white men/nepotism. Lack of diversity (at any given time during my tenure I could count the amount of black colleagues on just 1 hand...very few women in leadership...overwhelming amount of older white men). Very clear that the former CEO (who has now "stepped down") had no idea what he was doing. The list goes on...

Pros

Fully stocked kitchens but you can only feed people so much to make them feel happy.

Cons

New CEO operating at the instruction of the investors. Sales folks are doubling up and all support functions are dwindling. Morale is at an all time low. People are overworked and have to put up with a lot from both clients and internal teams to get stuff done. Code is antiquated and hard to hire skill set to develop and enhance. Sinking ship either this company will be sold or will go down under.

Pros

Exceptional technology that wows anyone who sees it. Great technology for smart team to really flex their data science muscle.

Cons

Founding management "loyal" beyond a fault (which is a different way of saying "nepotism" that's referred to in so many other reviews). Way too many people who've been around way too long who don't have broader industry or strategic experience, starting from the President down, who are ultimately holding the company back. Have mistaken some growth for strategic "brilliance" - if you're growing < competition, you're going backwards. Lack of long term strategy is glaring. It's a major shame: 1010 should be dominant in big data analytics instead of a bit player. Could have sold for at least 2x of the actual August trade, but no understanding of marketing, branding, sales or product development (that is actually relevant to the market) means they'll get swamped. History of business is littered with great technologies who lost. Post acquisition investment may help but new owners don't know the space and lack of strategic vision will mean they likely will stay a bit player. Completely off market approach to equity participation.
