Pros

Where to begin? The people are great. The work is interesting and more altruistic than any other tech. We're actually doing something for the good of people, helping you keep your digital lives secure. There is no engagement, retention, or session KPI. If you are a genuinely good person who wants to do good, you'll fit right in!

Cons

Compensation could be better. Our pay scales are based in Toronto. So if you live in Mississippi, the money will go very, very far. Anything beyond the Canadian metropolitan you're either barely even or very behind, so (SF/NY/Seattle) folks, you may have a hard time. We are supposedly looking into pay transparency, but that has yet to be seen. Same with our diversity and inclusion initiatives. It was a thing that we wanted to focus on for 2021, but I've yet to see actual news, developments, and changes. Don't get me wrong, people are still amazing and I feel safe and included as a minority, but I am within the bubble of my own team and have no eyes elsewhere.

Pros

- For the SMB segment our services have product-market fit

Cons

- Senior leadership has not figured out how to integrate our two most recent acquisitions into the company in any way; we continue to have separate processes, pricing, systems, etc. - Customer feedback on our current product offerings and features have been ignored for the last six+ months resulting in increased churn and contraction - Sales and revenue growth has slowed dramatically in the last six months and now the company is in "performance management mode" (i.e., layoffs) - Employees are not given opportunities or promoted based on merit but rather on who has cozied up to the VP level leaders - Product-market fit up-segment remains a serious concern as evidenced by the abundant turnover in our commercial and enterprise segments

Pros

Cool product that works and the teams that support the customer are well built out.

Cons

They lowball you on pay and then find every single way to not pay out commissions. The account could contract right at the beginning of a book transfer and they will hold it against the new csm. My favorite was seeing commissions get reduced due to CURRENCY EXCHANGES being counted as a loss against the csm. 1Password is easily the most disappointing company I have worked for. Their leadership is fake and only knows how to smile and pretend to care.
